Dry Creek Riverstone Projects

Natural drainage at its best
Dry creek riverbed directs water in to the lake

We supply a large amount of Southwest River Stone for decorative pathways, attractive non-organic mulch, and feature areas. One of the most impressive applications is using it to create artificial dry creeks in the summer, which then serve as natural drainage in the winter. It's a win-win solution, providing an appealing feature area that proves invaluable during heavy rains. Below is a video of a customer's project that beautifully demonstrates how this natural drainage solution functions.

A dry creek bed artfully designed in Stonville, incorporating a mix of 40 to 100mm and larger river stones, enhances the landscape with a naturalistic feel within a verdant woodland environment.

We hope this has inspired you to design your own dry creek, whether as a decorative feature or as an effective drainage solution. In either case, it looks fantastic.
